Holiday Party 2023 Recap
We hope 2024 is off to a great start for all of our Cherokee alums, family, and friends.
First, we want to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone who made it out to this year’s 4xAlumni Holiday Party & Fundraiser back on December 28th at The Mile in Runnemede.
The night was a big success, both in terms of fundraising and catching up with old friends. Alumni in attendance represented the Class of 1989 all the way up through the recent Class of 2022…that’s 33 years of Cherokee T&F and XC greatness! We were lucky to have many former and current athletes’ parents in attendance as well, in addition to several former and current coaches.
We held our first basket raffle thanks to generous donations from alumni, (baskets included a gift card to The SJ Running Co. family of stores, courtesy of Sunny Patel ‘96, 4 weeks of free run coaching with our very own Marc Pelerin ‘02, a signed Carl Lewis Jersey, courtesy of Dave Sitzer ‘00, a Yeti cooler and tumblers, courtesy of Jeff Storch ‘98, and free estate planning with the one-and-only Tim Haggerty, Esq. ‘96, along with lots of “vintage” Cherokee gear courtesy of coaches Shaklee and Jarvis), all of which helped raise additional funds for the Boys and Girls Track & Field and Cross Country programs.

Your donations to 4xAlumni have and will continue to fund travel and lodging for championship meets and invitationals, recognition/awards (varsity jackets, for instance) for state championship/high achieving teams and athletes, scholarships for graduating seniors, and much more to come!
